rembau

the  station

KTMB extended its electric train service to Rembau on 30 August this year, providing a faster and more comfortable link up to KL and beyond as far as Rawang.
As part of the modernization, this new station was built, replacing the old one which appears to have been demolished.

This old platform sign has been saved and is currently leaning against a wall in the new station, pending a new permanent home.

The station is located close to the town centre. The old part of Rembau is fairly typical small with the usual few streets of shophouses, a police station, post office, a mosque and temples.

This mountain is one of the most popular day climbs in Peninsular Malaysia.
It is tiring but satisfying with excellent views from the top.

This replica palace is an interesting museum about 10km from Rembau. It is not very well known but worth a visit.
